Prince William was furious at his cousin’s wedding because of Queen Camilla, claims insider

According to RadarOnline.com, Queen Camilla didn’t let Harriet Sperling wear any bauble from the monarchy’s vault, leaving Prince William angry. “William was furious,” an insider said. The Prince of Wales “has a very close relationship with Peter.” As such, he “is disgusted that Camilla would try to stir up trouble on his wedding day just to show off her power.” William allegedly tried to stop the monarch while Sperling decided to wear a headpiece by designer Pragnell instead. “Even though it’s a moot point now, Camilla is still mad,” a source shared. They continued, “She’s accusing William of purposely undermining her.”

Camilla and William reportedly share a complicated dynamic. King Charles’ wife was reportedly against William marrying Kate Middleton. Christopher Andersen’s “Kate!” biography shared that Camilla believed Middleton was “too common” to marry William. “She did not think she was up to snuff, as it were. She was below the salt,” the book read. The author continued, “She had no aristocratic blood.” Andersen added, “People like Camilla didn’t want her because they felt that she was too common to be the wife of a future king.”

Camilla objected to Middleton’s “working-class roots.” Moreover, she “was very cognizant of the fact that a future king of England should have, she believed, a marriage to a royal personage, or at least a British aristocrat.” Camilla didn’t want her stepson to wed “a descendant of coal miners whose mother had grown up in public housing and once worked as a flight attendant.” Anderson also claimed that William and Middleton’s early days faced “a lot of sniping from the sidelines, much of it coming from Camilla’s camp.” However, the Princess of Wales “never put a foot wrong.”
