The pop icon makes history in London as a sea of lookalike fans brave intense summer heat in matching headwear
Pitbull brought more than hits to his BST Hyde Park London concert on Friday, July 10. He brought a mission, and his fans absolutely understood the assignment. Guinness World Records confirmed that 22,141 people gathered in bald caps at the show, setting the title for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. The official record page lists BST Hyde Park and Pitbull as the record holders and confirms the London achievement.
The crowd did not stop at bald caps. Many fans dressed like Mr. Worldwide in white shirts, black ties, aviator sunglasses, and fake facial hair. Hyde Park may never recover from that much commitment to the bit.
Pitbull encouraged fans to show up in bald caps for the July 10 show as part of an official record attempt. The plan came together months before the concert, but the “Bald-E’s” clearly embraced it.
Guinness World Records said fans braved a London heatwave for the attempt. The organization’s adjudicator, Will Munford, praised the atmosphere and said the huge turnout showed the power of music and fan communities.
The Guardian noted that the idea gained momentum after fan Jack Remmington joked about it on TikTok, with BBC Radio 1’s Greg James also helping promote the challenge. Organizers used hundreds of volunteers and drone footage to verify the count.
Pitbull also joined the fun himself. Even though he is already bald, he wore a bald cap so Guinness could count him under the official rules.
After the record was confirmed, Pitbull celebrated with the London crowd and thanked fans for turning the night into something bigger than a regular show. For the Bald-E’s, the Pitbull bald caps record was more than a stunt. It became a full fan movement, and London helped Mr. Worldwide become Mr. World Record.
