RaeLynn, a country singer, has announced a significant change in her personal life. The singer shared an emotional message after filing for divorce from her husband, Joshua Davis. She said it was a tough decision and that she asked “people to respect her family’s privacy. The couple also has one young daughter together as they embark on a new chapter.

According to Davidson County court records, RaeLynn filed for divorce from Joshua Davis on June 8, citing irreconcilable differences. The separation date cited on the filing is the same as the date the petition was filed. RaeLynn also requested that the court name her as the primary residential parent of their daughter, Daisy Rae. On July 14, the singer publicly addressed the divorce for the first time in an Instagram statement.
In her message, RaeLynn wrote, “After much thought and prayer I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.” She said she will continue to provide Daisy Rae “the love, stability, and support” she deserves as they move through this next chapter together. Daisy Rae is celebrating her 5th birthday in September. RaeLynn also thanked her family, friends and fans for their support and asked for privacy while her family moves forward with grace and compassion.
RaeLynn and Joshua married in July 2016 after meeting at church three years earlier. In a previous interview, RaeLynn shared that she first messaged Joshua through social media. She also said that she was thankful that she found her person at a young age and that Joshua was a person who gave her stability in her life. Following their marriage, Joshua quit his position as a financial adviser and joined the U.S. Army, a move RaeLynn said was a boost to their marriage. While RaeLynn and Joshua now prepare for separate futures, the singer has made it clear that her daughter remains her top priority.
