Flavor Flav is giving the U.S. women Olympians, medalists, and Paralympians a well-deserved celebration. The athletes will receive honors for their accomplishments this weekend.
Flav’s four-day SHE Weekend will honor Team USA’s women athletes in Vegas
Flavor Flav announced the celebration for the U.S. women’s hockey team and other U.S. Olympians in February. Almost five months later, the event is set to take place from July 16 to July 19 for the “SHE Weekend.”
According to People, the parade will feature more than 100 athletes starting at 7:00 PM in the Toshiba Plaza, where fans can see their favorite athletes without a ticket. The event begins with live entertainment followed by the athlete parade, which is expected to commence at 8:00 PM. Fans will also see representatives from 20 local community organizations and star players from the Raiders, Las Vegas Aces, and Golden Knights.
Following the parade, fans can enjoy free concerts from Grace Bowers, Blu DeTiger, Public Enemy, and surprise performances.
However, the celebration doesn’t end there, as sports stars will continue to receive gifts in the “SHE Weekend.” They will have a private dinner at MGM Resorts to honor their accomplishments, according to People.
Flav, while talking about the weekend, said, “I am honored to be able to host these incredible athletes here in Las Vegas for my Flavor Flav SHE Weekend. I want to thank everybody who has reached out wanting to get involved. This weekend is gonna be action-packed!”
Initially, Flav announced a celebration for the U.S. women’s hockey team, but later announced on his social media that he will extend the invitation to medalists from the Paralympics and the women’s Olympics.
The four-day celebration reflects the rapper’s effort to give athletes the celebration that they deserve.
The rapper’s idea of celebrating the U.S. Olympic athletes and the hockey team is becoming a reality. Flav is one of the most vocal celebrity supporters of the U.S. women’s hockey team.
