Stefon Diggs is pushing back against explosive allegations made in an ongoing legal dispute. The NFL star has filed a new court response denying claims that he exposed himself to a man who has accused him of sexual assault.
The latest filing marks another chapter in the bitter legal battle between Diggs and Christopher Griffith, who previously countersued the athlete over an alleged 2023 incident at Diggs’ Maryland home. Diggs continues to deny the allegations, calling Griffith’s version of events entirely fabricated.
The NFL star disputes a key claim made by his male accuser in a new court filing
According to TMZ, Diggs specifically denied Griffith’s allegation that he exposed himself during the alleged encounter. In the new court filing, the wide receiver described the claim that he “pulled out his penis” as “completely false and defamatory.”
The dispute stems from competing lawsuits filed by both men. Griffith has alleged that Diggs drugged him before making unwanted sexual advances during a May 22, 2023, encounter. He further claimed that after rejecting those advances, Diggs later arranged for his brother and two other men to assault him in an effort to keep him quiet.
Diggs has consistently denied those accusations and maintains that Griffith’s allegations have damaged his reputation.
As part of the latest filing, Diggs submitted excerpts from Griffith’s deposition. During questioning, Griffith was asked why he allegedly wanted to continue having a relationship with Diggs after the incident he described.
“I don’t think that the story had to end that way,” Griffith testified. “I, at least, just wanted to let him know that… who you are sexually is who you are sexually, and I respect that. I just ask that you respect who I am sexually and not overstep my boundaries.”
Diggs’ legal team argues that Griffith’s testimony undercuts portions of his lawsuit. According to the filing, his attorneys contend there is no indication Griffith suffered the severe emotional distress alleged in the complaint and are asking the court to dismiss that aspect of the case.
The filing also reiterates Diggs’ broader position that the allegations never occurred. His attorneys described Griffith’s account as “entirely fabricated,” continuing the sharp dispute between the two sides as the litigation moves forward.
The case remains ongoing, and the court has not ruled on the competing claims made by either party.
