Dwyane Wade’s Son Court Arraignment Centers on Unregistered Firearm

Zaire Wade appeared in court after his recent felony domestic violence charge. Prosecutors made new allegations during Thursday’s arraignment. They claimed that the police discovered an unregistered firearm after his arrest. Wade pleaded not guilty to the felony charge.

Wade appeared in a Pasadena courtroom for his arraignment. According to LA Magazine, prosecutors outlined additional details. They alleged that officers recovered an unregistered firearm from his home. The firearm was reportedly confiscated after the arrest.

The case stemmed from an incident in Burbank at the last minute. Police responded after receiving reports of yelling and screaming. Officers reportedly found a woman with facial lacerations. Wade was shortly arrested after this.

Court documents allege that Wade has willfully caused injuries to the woman. Prosecutors filed one felony domestic violence charge against him. This complaint also listed several sentencing allegations. Those claims only appear after a conviction.

Prosecutors have not announced any separate firearm-related charges. The investigation remained active following Thursday’s court appearance.

The authorities have requested a $50,000 bond following Wade’s arrest. He later secured his release after posting bail. An emergency protection order was also issued. Wade must stay away from the alleged victim.

The court additionally ordered Wade to surrender all firearms. Prosecutors argued the firearm discovery supported those restrictions. The alleged weapon has not produced separate announced charges. Officials have not disclosed additional details publicly.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 24. Wade remained out on bond ahead of those proceedings. The case will continue through the Los Angeles County court system. No verdict has been reached.

Zaire Wade is the eldest son of NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade. He previously played in the NBA G League. More recently, he completed professionally in Africa. His legal case remains ongoing.
