JD Vance faces backlash for his Joe Biden comment
Vice President JD Vance tried to poke fun at former President Joe Biden on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. However, the internet jumped to Biden’s defence. Vance said: “The thing I couldn’t get over Biden is, is just bad staff work, man. The way that he ate ice cream. I mean, it’s like, you know, we could bring some of this stuff up, but it’s like they would get him eating ice cream in the most ridiculous, suggestive way imaginable.”
The internet, however, wasn’t buying into Vance’s statement about Biden. “Pod Save America” co-host Dan Pfeiffer posted on X, saying, “J.D. Vance thinks about s*x when watching Joe Biden eat ice cream.” One user commented: “There’s no good way to couch this,” and a second declared: “JD is a very weird dude…”
A third user wrote: “If we could get AI to create a clip of Joe Biden eating ice cream on a sofa… kid Vance would lose it prematurely.” A fourth user penned: “Weirdo. But always with that smile like he thinks he’s actually funny. [Looks around, nobody else laughing.]”
A fifth user chimed in: “Dude just doesn’t get it. Socially, intellectually, ethically, audibly, ocularly, verbally, clueless. Am I forgetting one?” Finally, one user shared: “It’s pathetic to think the VP of the United States is even talking like this!”
Previously, Vance was heavily criticized online for his awkward interaction with his wife, Usha Vance. Vance appeared on the special Father’s Day episode of her Storytime with the Second Lady podcast on June 21.
Usha introduced her husband, stating: “Today’s special reader is my husband, Vice President of the United States, JD Vance. Thanks for joining us today, honey.” Vance replied: “Of course. Good to see you,” and awkwardly patted her knee.
One user remarked: “Nothing says “happy marriage” quite like greeting your own wife as if you just met her.”
