Swifties Think Sydney Sweeney Was Sending Taylor Swift a Message With Underwear Lyric

Sydney Sweeney’s latest Instagram story has fueled speculation among Swifties. Swift fans believe that the actress took a subtle dig at Taylor Swift while showing off underwear on her Instagram Story.

Sydney Sweeney recently posted an Instagram story featuring an item of underwear with a printed message. She captioned the story, “panty packs with some of my lil sayings hehehe ?.”

The SYRN underwear has a printed message, “But Daddy, I love Him.” She added a link to purchase the knickers from her brand, SYRN.

“But Daddy I Love Him” is Swift’s song from the album The Tortured Poets Department. Soon after her story, fans speculated that she was targeting Swift. Sweeney is currently dating Scooter Braun, who had a long feud with Swift after he purchased the masters to her recordings in 2019, according to The Sun.

One Reddit user said, “Bless her. She needs something to try and keep herself trending because it takes more than great t*t* to remain relevant; it also takes great talent, and she’s rather lacking in the latter category.”

One X user shared the story with the caption, “Sydney Sweeney, girlfriend to Scooter Braun, has a Taylor Swift lyric on a pair of panties that her brand is selling: ‘but daddy I love him.” And then she says it is one of her little sayings? Messy girl.” One X user commented, “That lyric is super specific to Taylor’s feud with Scooter Braun, though.”

Another commented, “I’m too woke or some shit because this is disgusting. Those look like kids’ underwear. And that quote is creepy.”

While Swifties were speculating that her latest fashion choice was connected to Swift, many online users called it a common phrase, but creepy for knickers. One user commented, “I don’t love her, but ‘but daddy I love him’ isn’t from the Taylor Swift song. It’s a line in The Little Mermaid.”

The online speculation is largely based on the reports linking the actress with Scooter Braun, a music manager, who gained ownership of Swift’s master recordings, sparking a long-running feud with the singer.
