Jessie J has confirmed her split from partner Chanan Safir Colman, three years after the couple welcomed their son, Sky, in May 2023. The 38-year-old singer, who is now cancer-free after her breast cancer diagnosis, revealed that they made the decision “some time ago” and have been navigating the split privately.

Jessie took to Instagram to share the news. She wrote, “Chanan and I decided to end our romantic relationship some time ago, it has been a sad and difficult situation, but we have been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and happy co-parenting environment for our son and ourselves. Unfortunately, being in the public eye, this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumours circulate or a false narrative is written.”
The ‘Price Tag’ singer said that she and Chanan, a former professional basketball player who competed in the Israel Basketball Premier League, would continue to support each other with love, respect, and care as friends, while remaining dedicated parents to their son.
She added that any public appearances or social media posts together reflect their commitment to raising and loving their son as a family with a positive friendship.
Before their separation, Chanan supported Jessie throughout her breast cancer battle, reports Us Weekly. In a June 2025 Instagram video, Jessie told fans about her diagnosis. She said, “I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding onto the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period. I just wanted to be open and share it.” In May, Jessie announced she was “cancer free.”
The couple first connected in 2021 after meeting on the exclusive celebrity dating app Raya. The couple was together for almost five years before calling it quits.
