Bill Cosby’s finances are facing intense scrutiny as a woman who won a $60 million civil judgment against him moves to collect the award. The latest court filings seek a detailed accounting of the disgraced comedian’s assets, including everything from bank accounts to royalty payments and intellectual property.
The post-judgment discovery marks another major development in the ongoing legal battle between Cosby and plaintiff Donna Motsinger. According to newly filed court documents, her attorneys are casting a wide net to determine which assets could be used to satisfy the multimillion-dollar judgment.

RadarOnline reported that Motsinger’s legal team served extensive post-judgment interrogatories seeking information about nearly every aspect of Cosby’s financial life. The requests reportedly cover checking and brokerage accounts, cash holdings, private equity investments, business interests, real estate, automobiles, aircraft, jewelry, artwork, collectibles, retirement accounts, insurance policies, cryptocurrency, safe deposit boxes, and storage units.
The filing also seeks information about income-producing assets, including royalties, licensing payments, residuals, copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property. According to the report, Motsinger’s attorneys are attempting to identify every possible source of revenue that could help satisfy the judgment entered against Cosby in March.
The outlet reported that the requests extend beyond Cosby’s personal finances. Attorneys are also seeking information about his wife, Camille Cosby, including assets held in her name, jointly owned property, trusts, financial accounts, income sources, and any marital agreements that could affect ownership of assets.
According to the filing, Motsinger’s legal team also wants details about trusts in which Cosby serves as a settlor, trustee, or beneficiary, along with any assets allegedly transferred to family members or held through nominees. The discovery requests further seek information about gifts, business entities, financial advisers, appraisals, and property transfers.
RadarOnline also reported that the attorneys are requesting updated financial information because Cosby’s most recent disclosed records allegedly date back to 2017. They are asking him to explain any significant changes to his reported net worth and identify assets that have since been sold, transferred, or otherwise disposed of. The filing also seeks information on whether royalty or income payments that would ordinarily go to Cosby have instead been redirected to Camille or another individual.
According to the publication, Cosby has continued challenging the judgment through post-trial proceedings while Motsinger’s attorneys press ahead with efforts to locate assets that could ultimately be used to collect the $60 million award. The comedian had not publicly commented on the latest filing.
