Donald Trump attended the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The president was accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and several other family members, including his youngest son, Barron Trump.
One photo shared on Instagram by Eric Trump shows the family posing together in the VIP box. The group included his siblings Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr., along with their spouses. However, Barron was absent from the shot.
Barron was spotted backstage at the World Cup final with his father, as he exchanged pleasantries with FIFA president Gianni Infantino. The 20-year-old is known to stay away from the spotlight, rarely making any public appearances. He has no social media presence either. Barron has been attending New York University’s Stern School of Business since September 2024. The following year, he began his sophomore year at the university’s Washington campus near the White House.
Barron was also absent from Donald Trump’s Great American State Fair for America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 4. Last month, he attended the Freedom 250 UFC fight on his father’s birthday, which was held on the South Lawn of the White House. However, he reportedly skipped the Freedom 250 kickoff event.
Meanwhile, Donald joined Gianni Infantino to present the golden trophy to Spain after they defeated Argentina on Sunday. The president also handed out the medals to the Spanish football stars during the award ceremony. He refused to leave the podium while the players celebrated, leading to an awkward moment. He was later edited out of Spain’s men’s national team group photo on Instagram.
