Donald Trump’s Height Questioned After Viral Video With Spain’s Rodri

The FIFA World Cup 2026 not only hosted a series of on-field controversies during the competition. It also managed to ignite a political one on its very final day. With Donald Trump sharing the stage with the Spanish team after he presented them with the elusive cup, many social media users have pointed out height comparisons between the POTUS and La Roja captain Rodri, who, on paper, should be of similar measurements.

Spain’s historic win at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final is going viral in the States for all the wrong reasons as people have started drawing height comparisons between Donald Trump and Spain captain Rodri from a July 19 clip.

The snippet, as shared by White House’s Rapid Response wing on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, shows Rodri coming up to the stage to receive his Golden Ball trophy. However, while shaking hands with the POTUS, the Manchester City midfielder appears considerably taller than Trump, despite records placing both individuals at 6-foot-3.

Social media users were quick to spot this anomaly, with one person writing, “Trump in heels and at least 4-5 inches shorter,” followed by a winking emoji. Meanwhile, another user joked, “He’s gonna strain his neck looking up at Rodri!”

A third critic slammed the president for seemingly lying to the public by saying, “Rodri is 6′ 3″ tall. Trump also claims to be 6′ 3″ tall. Trump looks like a shrimp compared to Rodri. Busted for another lie.”

Despite the comparison with Rodri and the constant scrutiny around the topic, the White House continues to record Donald Trump’s height at 75 inches. In fact, the results of Trump’s official physical examination conducted in May 2026 reaffirm that the president is indeed 6-foot-3.
