Jennifer Lopez may have ended her marriage to Ben Affleck, but one important connection still keeps them in his life. A new report alleges that the former duo is still in touch due to the bond their children have. Lopez recently also made headlines for a personal change that mirrored her life since the divorce. Even as she moves forward, a few reminders of the past remain.
Jennifer and Ben Affleck’s kids have a very close bond
Lopez recently relaxed in Sicily wearing a leopard-print bikini that revealed her updated rib tattoo. The infinity tattoo no longer carries Affleck’s name. The images were posted only days after what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary. However, a source told the Daily Mail that Lopez and Affleck cannot fully move on because Lopez’s child, Oskar, 18, and Affleck’s child, Fin, 17, remain very close.
The source said the teens spend time together through lunches, concerts, pool parties, vacations and sleepovers, especially during summer break. Lopez was recently at an Ariana Grande show in L.A. with Oskar and Fin. The source added, “She really doesn’t want to have to see Ben all the time,” but said Lopez always puts her children first. According to the source, Lopez and Affleck are still in talks because they are supportive of the teens’ friendship.
The report says Oskar is going to Sarah Lawrence College in New York this fall to study theater. The source claimed Fin has looked at Bowdoin College in Maine and Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania because the teen wants to stay closer to Oskar. Lopez and Affleck have talked about getting the teens to fly between New York and Los Angeles to keep them together, the source told the Daily Mail. Oskar and Fin grew closer after Lopez and Affleck reunited in 2021, engaged in 2022 and married later in the year.
