Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron is called to testify under oath by a Democratic congresswoman. Barron is to be questioned as part of a proposed probe into the Trump administration’s ties to the Tate brothers.
Congresswoman wants Barron Trump to be investigated, report claims
Rep. Yassamin Ansari has urged the House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to launch an investigation into the Trump administration’s alleged ties to Andrew and Tristan Tate, in a July 23 letter, RadarOnline reports. The Tate brothers were recently arrested in Miami and are currently facing multiple criminal charges.
In the letter, Ansari also requested the committee to subpoena Barron and question him about “his knowledge of the Tate brothers’ crimes, if he had any involvement whatsoever, and if he communicated with members of his father’s administration or the President himself regarding their legal proceedings.”
The congresswoman further cited recent records alleging that Barron has been in communication with Andrew and Tristan Tate. Ansari also called on the committee to subpoena communications from the Department of Justice, the Department of State, and White House officials regarding the “manosphere” influencers. These include records related to official investigations, extradition efforts, or any alleged political favors.
According to the Arizona lawmaker, Congress has a constitutional obligation to investigate whether the Tate brothers have been in communication with any government officials regarding their ongoing criminal or extradition proceedings or any political favors.
U.S. Marshals arrested the Tate brothers on Saturday in Miami. The U.K. seeks extradition, announcing 38 new charges against the pair. According to a Justice Department spokesperson, “These arrests were made in accordance with the treaties and law enforcement agreements governing Justice Department extraditions.”
Meanwhile, the CPS has announced that British prosecutors will begin extradition proceedings against the Tate brothers, who are dual British-US citizens, following their arrest. The total number of charges the brothers are currently facing is 59.
