Cardi B defended her dating choices after fans urged her to focus on being single
The rapper addressed the ongoing fans’ backlash over her dating choices during an X Spaces session on Wednesday, July 22. She shut down her fans who urged her to stay single following her split from NFL star Stefon Diggs.
“I’ve been seeing some suggestions like, ‘I want her to be single, I want her to focus on herself. B***h, I’m not going to be single for the rest of my life,” the rapper said, strongly defending her dating life, according to Page Six. Cardi also added that she’d already spent her entire recent tour single—“Single, not talking to nobody, not entertaining nobody, not anything.”
Her fans found the audacity to comment on the rapper’s love life after they recently spotted Cardi with Nigerian soccer star Maduka Okoye. The two were pictured earlier this month at Paris Fashion Week. The 33-year-old, however, owned up to past mistakes in relationships and said she won’t apologize for dating people.
“Could I pick better men? Probably,” she said, and she made it clear she still wants some enjoyment in her personal life. She also admitted she’s screening potential partners more carefully these days and no longer hands out her number easily. She ended her X session saying, “I know you guys expect me to be single — I’m not gonna be single forever. I need to be entertained. Life is cool. Life is everything.”
Cardi B and Stefan Diggs split after roughly a year together. They have a child together.
