“You’re gonna think this is cheesy, but it’s my relationship with my wife,” McKenzie told Us Weekly. He explained why he felt grateful for meeting Baccarin. The couple married in 2017 and have continued working together on various projects.
“It is so hard in life to do it on your own,” McKenzie said. He then praised Baccarin for choosing to build a life with him. “I’m just deeply grateful for meeting her and for her being brave enough, foolish enough, to marry me.”
McKenzie also highlighted Baccarin’s support for his latest documentary. The project examined the cryptocurrency industry and its wider impact. Baccarin appeared alongside him during a ticketed virtual screening and Q&A event.
The actor joked that his wife had little interest in cryptocurrency. “Morena is so fantastic in the movie,” he said. McKenzie added that her lack of interest helped represent people who have heard endless crypto discussions from men.
“Morena’s interest in crypto is zero, as is my kids’,” McKenzie explained. Despite that, he said Baccarin remained gracious about his work. He also credited her with supporting him as he pursued the project.
