Taylor Swift’s Fallout Cost Blake Lively a Huge Wedding Honor — Insider

Taylor Swift reportedly once considered Blake Lively for a major role in her wedding to Travis Kelce. However, a new report claims Lively was no longer in the running to be Swift’s maid of honor as the longtime friends’ relationship reportedly changed.

Blake Lively reportedly lost Taylor Swift maid-of-honor role after feud

Swift and Lively became friends in 2015 during Swift’s 1989 era and remained close for years. Their friendship extended to their families, with Lively’s daughter James appearing on Swift’s song “Gorgeous” in 2017. Swift also referenced Lively’s children James, Inez and Betty in her Folklore album. The two continued to support each other publicly and spend time together over the years.

However, Swift reportedly faced a tough choice because she had several close friends who could have taken the role. Her famous friend group includes Selena Gomez, Keleigh Teller, Sabrina Carpenter and Cara Delevingne, among others.

The insider said Swift did not want any of her close friends to feel left out. The situation later became more complicated as Swift and Lively’s friendship reportedly grew distant. According to Radar Online, the two women are no longer as close as they once were. The report claims that the change in their relationship contributed to Lively no longer being considered for the maid-of-honor role.

According to the report, Lively’s absence from the role became another sign that their once-close friendship had changed. The two women shared a close bond for nearly a decade, celebrated important moments together, spent time with each other’s families, and supported one another publicly. Now, the insider claims that closeness has faded, and Lively reportedly missed out on what could have been one of the biggest roles in Swift’s wedding.
