Mama June Shannon’s daughter Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon has officially closed a difficult chapter in her personal life. The reality TV star is now legally single after her short-lived marriage came to an end. There is also a court order regarding contact between the former couple in her divorce. The split comes after months of public drama between the couple.
Jessica Shannon and Shyann McCant are barred from harassing each other
Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that a Georgia court finalized Jessica’s divorce from Shyann McCant. Court documents show the marriage officially ended on August 27, just over a month after Jessica filed for divorce. The pair had been married for 10 months. The documents also restored Jessica’s maiden name following the divorce.
According to the court documents, Jessica and Shyann are “restrained and enjoined” from “harassing the other party.” The outlet previously reported that Jessica filed for divorce in Jones County on July 24. The divorce documents filed read June 1 as the date of separation. Jessica cited an “irretrievably broken” marriage in the filing, which the parties signed on July 17.
In September 2025, Jessica and Shyann got married and later filmed another marriage for Mama June: Family Crisis season 8. The televised wedding aired in May, but Jessica revealed their breakup one month later. “We mutually decided that it was the best decision for both of us,” she wrote in a June 2 Facebook post. She added that they remained friends and cordial and asked fans not to send either woman hate or negativity.
Mama June later publicly accused Shyann of cheating on Jessica. Shyann then addressed the allegations and admitted she had been unfaithful. “I take full responsibility for that [cheating],” Shyann wrote via Facebook on July 22. With the divorce now final, Jessica and Shyann have legally ended their marriage after less than a year together.
