Julia Stiles pushed back on the idea that her experience with the film gives her an advantage over her competitors, while acknowledging that it has created impossible expectations that could hurt her on Dancing with the Stars.
Stiles said, “I think it’s a bit of a disadvantage, to be honest. I stopped taking dance classes after that movie because people expected me to be a great dancer.”
“I’m a home dancer. I love dancing at home and part of my reason for coming on this show is to like find the joy and dance again, find my confidence and dance again,” she added.
However, the Jason Bourne fame actress also said that doing the movie was great training and a wonderful opportunity. Still, she is feeling quite self-conscious and tense, and she wants to let that go.
Julia Stiles will partner with professional dancer Ezra Sosa on Dancing with the Stars Season 35, and the pair will dance together on September 15, 2026, across ABC, Hulu, and Disney+.
