Everything seemed to be going well until a medical crisis left fans shocked. Reports have now revealed that the singer is facing a Sickle Cell Crisis during the TLC Tour Change.
T-Boz’s sickle cell crisis left Chilli performing TLC shows without her
The 56-year-old group member Chilli is currently on the It’s Iconic tour with Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. Shows in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York have taken place, and videos from the performances have gone viral online. In the videos, T-Boz’s group member Chilli can be seen performing their hit songs such as “No Scrubs” and “Ain’t 2 Proud to Beg” solo.
It was obvious that fans would become curious about Watkins’ absence and want to know what had happened. In response, her group member opened up about her sickle cell condition.
Chili said in TikTok video, she posted, “I’m going to ask each and every one of you to help me hold her down tonight.
Later, according to USA Today, Christal Jordan said, “Tionne recently experienced a sickle cell crisis that required hospitalization, and she is currently recovering and regaining her strength.”
“Because the It’s Iconic Tour is such an interactive show, we made the decision to continue, with Chilli performing and receiving incredible support from Salt-N-Pepa, En Vogue, and most importantly, the fans,” she added
For now, T-Boz is resting and regaining her strength. When it comes to her hospitalization, neither her family nor those close to her have shared any details. However, the American actress and singer is receiving plenty of love and support from her team members and fans.
The concert tour began on August 27, 2026, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in New York.
