Sarah Ferguson May End up in ‘Granny Annexe’ Instead of Luxe Home — Source

Sarah Ferguson may reportedly be trading a luxe Portugal home for something much smaller — a “granny annexe” on her daughter Princess Beatrice’s countryside property. The Duchess of York’s uncertain housing situation has been making headlines. Now, following her move out of Royal Lodge, new claims suggest she could be ready to settle down a little closer to her family.

Sarah Ferguson may move into ‘granny annexe’ daughter’s Cotswolds estate, claims source

The Daily Mail exclusively reported that Sarah Ferguson might settle down in her Princess Beatrice’s “granny annexe” instead of Princess Eugenie’s luxe home in Portugal. Beatrice’s £3.5 million Cotswolds estate has recently undergone renovations. As such, a source told the tabloid that the space looks “ready to move into now,” adding, “It’d be perfect for Fergie, wouldn’t it? The stonework has all been repointed, the gutters renovated, the woodwork nicely painted. It has its own entrance.”

Moreover, the source remarked that a delivery of propane gas bottles this week suggested someone may be preparing to move in soon.

While the annexe may not have the same scale as Royal Lodge, it represents a warm, family-centered alternative at a time when Ferguson wants to settle abroad. Recently, reports suggested she might relocate to Portugal to stay at her younger daughter Princess Eugenie’s £3.6 million seaside villa in Melides, with locals there telling the Daily Mail they expect her arrival “sometime in January.” However,  the move has not been confirmed.

Ferguson’s living situation has been in question since news broke that she and former Prince Andrew would be departing Royal Lodge, their longtime shared home in Windsor. Andrew is reportedly preparing to settle at Sandringham, while Ferguson considers her next steps.

If Sarah Ferguson does move into Beatrice’s renovated “granny annexe,” it might be a quieter chapter for the Duchess — a shift from the royal sphere to the peace of the Cotswolds countryside — even if the setting is modest compared to Windsor or the luxe Portugal home.
