Prince Harry is reportedly all set to attend the OREA Power House Conference on December 1 as a keynote speaker. Many real estate professionals and stakeholders will be part of the conference, organized by the Ontario Real Estate Association, and people are excited to see the event get a royal touch from the Duke of Sussex. While the association is proud to have Harry involved, a report claims that palace insiders are not pleased about his appearance, suggesting that this “cameo” could be a sign of financial strain.
Prince Harry is ‘walking showroom carpets’ with real-estate conference gig, per source
Ever since Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and moved to Montecito, the royal couple have been participating in various ventures to rebuild their lives.
For now, Harry is preparing to serve as a keynote speaker at a conference for the Ontario Real Estate Association in December 2025.
The conference will cover topics such as housing supply, real estate regulation, housing policy, affordability, and more.
According to a recent report by Rob Shuter, while the association has been promoting Harry as its main speaker, palace insiders feel the move reflects a sense of desperation on the Prince’s part.
A source said, “This man used to walk through minefields. Now he’s walking showroom carpets.” Since the conference is focused on real estate policies in Canada, observers are questioning what Harry will be able to bring to the table as a speaker, since he has little to no expertise in Ontario’s real estate market.
A source asked, “What expertise does Harry have in Ontario housing policy?” The source continued, “It feels like he’s become an extremely expensive cameo.”
While the palace insiders are speculating that this could be because of financial strain, Harry’s team hasn’t provided any explanation for the same.
