Timothee Chalamet Receives Major Tip From Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow recently offered a skincare tip to Timothee Chalamet, only for it to backfire immediately. The veteran actress starred alongside the Dune actor in Marty Supreme, the first solo venture by Josh Safdie, who is otherwise renowned for his collaborations with Benny Safdie.

In her latest appearance on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast, Gwyneth Paltrow delved into a rather hilarious incident from the sets of Marty Supreme. Apart from her acting, Paltrow is also quite into wellness, and often tries to help others achieve the same.

Explaining the advice she gave Timothee Chalamet, Paltrow said, “In Marty Supreme, Timothée has pockmarks, and they made his eyes beady with contacts and glasses.” But her helpful intention did not pay off as Chalamet had great skin, as it was. She explained, “In real life, he has beautiful skin. He made a comment, and I was like, ‘Oh, you can do micro-needling for that.’ He’s like, ‘This is makeup.’ I was like, ‘Oh, s***.’

“The makeup was so good that I thought he had little acne scars,” she added, “Anyway, I think it would be interesting to one day do something like that.”

Paltrow plays a wealthy socialite and fading movie star who has an unlikely connection with the much younger ping-pong phenomenon, played by Chalamet. “I think it would be really interesting to do something around a story of an older woman. I’m really interested in how women age and how they regard themselves as they age. I look forward to playing older parts for sure,” Paltrow further said about her role in the podcast.

Marty Supreme also stars Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher in supporting roles.

The film already premiered at the 2025 New York Film Festival on October 6, 2025, and will have a theatrical release on December 25, 2025. It has received positive reviews so far.
