All of Marilyn Monroe’s intel and connections may have led to her demise. That’s what author James Patterson believes about the blonde bombshell who died under mysterious circumstances in 1962.
Marilyn knew her share big names, including US President John F. Kennedy (JFK), his brother Robert, Frank Sinatra, and apparently high-ranking members of the mafia. Having so many friends in high places was a massive weapon for the actress. It seems that weapon was far too dangerous for many, though.
“I think that she was treading in very dangerous waters, “said James. She was found dead in her bed, covered by a sheet with her hand clamped around a telephone receiver.
James Patterson has co-authored The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe: A True Crime Thriller

James’ new book exposes what he believes to be a bombshell truth: that Marilyn was murdered. The author is convinced that’s how she died. He tells The Hollywood Reporter that he learned a lot while researching for this book, “about the autopsy not being as complete as it should have been, that one of the detectives was convinced the scene was staged.”
Her cause of death is still something people talk about today. The Los Angeles County coroner ruled it a probable suicide. She had several sedatives in her system at the time, after a toxicology test was conducted. There was an empty pill bottle nearby her when she was found dead.
In September of this year, a friend of the late sex symbol reached the same conclusion James did in his book. Jeanne Carmen was neighbors with Marilyn. Her son, Brandon, claims spies were targeting the blonde beauty, planting bugs at her place. He believes Marilyn was ready to spill the beans on her relationship with JFK before the mob intervened and got to her first.
James’ new book, co-authored with Imogen Edwards-Jones, is called The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe: A True Crime Thriller. It hit stores on Monday December 8.
