Ana de Armas’ Backless Dress Is a Wardrobe Mishap Waiting To Happen

Ana de Armas stunned fans at the Red Sea International Film Festival by showing up in a black, backless dress from Louis Vuitton. What stood out most was the way the piece draped effortlessly over her body, supported solely by two barely-there shoulder straps. Still, it was totally on-brand for the “Ballerina” star, aligning with her usual red carpet aesthetic.

Ana de Armas’ custom Louis Vuitton dress is bold and backless

At the opening ceremony of the Red Sea International Film Festival on December 4, Ana de Armas graced the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton dress that was completely backless. The black silk crêpe floor-length piece featured a low cowl neckline, dainty shoulder straps, and a deep back. The sweeping, comet-like trails of silver embroidery on the black fabric added drama to the look.

Armas wore two LV Diamonds pendants, an LV Diamonds ring set with a 1.2 carat LV Monogram Star–cut diamond, and an Idylle Blossom ring from the Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry collection. Besides the jewelry pieces from Louis Vuitton, the “Blonde” actress also sported drop earrings from Dentelle.

She wore her long, dark hair in loose waves over one shoulder. Along with that, she kept her makeup simple with warm-toned eyes and a muted rose lip.

According to Variety, the Cuban actress is a part of the film festival’s “In Conversation” lineup. Besides Armas, “Madame Web” lead Dakota Johnson and “Sin City” star Jessica Alba are also included. Both Johnson and Alba arrived at the premiere in black outfits. Other stars who will speak at the festival are “The Vampire Diaries” alum Nina Dobrev, Queen Latifah, and Kirsten Dunst.

The Red Sea International Film Festival will honor Michael Caine, Sigourney Weaver, Juliette Binoche, Rachid Bouchareb, and Stanley Tong. Meanwhile, “Anora” director Sean Baker is also serving as this year’s jury president. Some of the movies that will screen at the event are “The Wizard of the Kremlin,” “Couture,” “Giant,” and “Desert Warrior.”
