Timothée Chalamet seems to be enjoying the rumors that he has an alter ego. The speculation is that the Academy Award nominee is also rapper EsDeeKid.
The actor who portrayed Bob Dylan on screen is drawing plenty of comparisons to the rapper born in Liverpool. Timothée was in London on Thursday for a radio interview promoting his upcoming movie, Marty Supreme. The interview didn’t provide a lot of answers to that question, though it will likely keep fans on the edge of their seats, wondering who EsDeeKid really is.
EsDeeKid’s face looks strikingly like Timothée Chalamet

If you were looking for answers on EsDeeKid’s true identity, you were left disappointed on Thursday. During an interview in the UK capital on Heart Radio, Timothée was asked directly about the rumors that he was the rapper. “No comment,” was his initial response. However, he elaborated by saying, “all will be revealed in due time.”
Many have noted that EsDeeKid’s face and Timothée’s are strikingly familiar, like looking into a mirror. The rapper rose to fame last year when he was named one of the UK’s breakout stars in 2024. His first known song was Altered which came out in 2023. EsDeeKid’s first album, Rebel, was released in June of this year.
Some of the rapper’s latest songs, like Phantom and 4 Raws, have become TikTok sensations with fans believing it’s actually Timothée in disguise. The actor has not confirmed or denied those rumors. His response on the air Thursday suggests he’s either relishing in leaving audiences hanging or is in fact the popular rapper. Rumors were swirling last month when Timothée revealed he had a secret talent.
For now, though, Timothée is focusing on his acting, with Marty Supreme set to open in theatres across the United States on Christmas Day. Next year he’ll be featuring in Dune: Part Three, playing the role of Paul Atreides. That movie is set for release December 18, 2026
