Warren Beatty has apparently not been himself lately, and that has his sister concerned. Shirley MacLaine and Warren have lived in the public eye for years. They usually don’t seem to mind going out, despite the attention they receive.
Lately, though, it’s been mostly surely spotted going out with her brother, reportedly staying behind closed doors literally. “Shirley’s worried sick about Warren,” a source revealed. Warren hasn’t acted in any films in close to a decade. He portrayed Howard Hughes in Rules Don’t Apply in 2016.

A source told RadarOnline that the Academy Award-winning director is hidden away in his house all day. That is something Shirley reportedly hates to see. “It’s in such a sharp contrast to her,” says the source.
Although Shirley is three years older than her brother at 91, she apparently is seen out and about all the time. She is said to frequent fancy restaurants in Malibu since returning to California after some time in New Mexico. She has a caregiver with her, but an insider says she still makes a point of going out because it’s important for her to continue enjoying life.
While older generations will remember Warren for movies like Reds, Bugsy, and Heaven Can Wait, younger people may be more familiar with one of his most infamous moments. In 2017, he and Faye Dunaway announced the Oscar for Best Picture, with the latter incorrectly announcing La La Land as the winner when, in fact, it was Moonlight.
Warren captured three Golden Globes during his Hollywood career, while his sister took home six. The nominees for those awards were announced earlier this month, with Ariana Grande calling her recent Golden Globe nomination “blindsiding.”
Shirley and Warren have remained close for many years.
