A family is reeling following the tragic death of a beloved sports reporter. Duncan McKenzie-McHarg was a well-known Australian presenter, covering numerous major events for Channel 7, Network 10, and Fox Sports in the US.

He was working in Los Angeles, something he had previously called his dream job. His broadcasting career began on Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast Show alongside Eddie McGuire. Last Wednesday, he fell from the top of a building before landing on a lower roof in Los Angeles, according to the LA County coroner’s office.

Tributes are pouring in following the news of Duncan’s death. His family released a statement, which was obtained by Australian media outlet news.com.au. They confirm his death, calling him “a deeply loved son, a devoted father to his precious boy Harrison, and a cherished brother to his three siblings.”

During his time as an Australian journalist, he was often seen covering major tennis tournaments. He’d interviewed many big names in that sport, including six-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard was rumored to be dating reality star Brooks Nader, according to her sister.

His former radio co-host, Eddie, called his death heartbreaking and devastating. The LA weather seemed to be a perfect fit for Duncan, who said in a 2023 interview how much he loved the climate.

Official records show that Duncan’s body was on a roof at the time of death. Duncan joined Fox Sports Australia in 2017, serving as the network’s US correspondent. In August of 2022, he accepted a position as a sports presenter in LA with Stan.

He interviewed the likes of Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic. Duncan was only 41.
