Prince Harry is trying everything possible to reconcile with his father, King Charles, and Prince William. Many even believe that reconciliation might soon be on the cards with the monarch. However, it might not be easy to get things back on track with his older brother. Looking at the Duke of Sussex’s actions over the past year, an expert believes that the Prince of Wales “may never” reconcile with his younger brother.
Prince William and Prince Harry ‘may never’ reconcile, claims expert
Reportedly, RAVEC is reviewing Prince Harry’s UK security arrangements once again. As per Mirror, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC) has directed the Risk Management Board to reassess the Duke of Sussex’s threat level. The committee will announce its decision next month.
This move, as per royal expert Jennie Bond, could be a step forward in reconciliation with his royal family members. The expert thinks that if “security review goes in his favour,” Harry “will feel that an obstacle to visiting the UK more often – and possibly bringing his children here” no longer exists.
Moreover, the former BBC royal correspondent also believes “only by coming over and seeing his dad in person from time to time” can he gradually mend the rift between them. ”However, the same claims can’t be made for Harry and Prince William. The brothers have reportedly not been on talking terms since the death of late Queen Elizabeth II. Hence, the expert believes that the brothers’ reunion is far-fetched.
“As for reconciling with William, that’s a much bigger ask. A parent can forgive a child far more readily than siblings tend to reconcile,” Bond told the outlet. Although “Harry has said he wants his father and his brother back in his life. ”William might not feel the same about his brother. Thus, Bond thinks “the younger prince will have to wait some time yet for the ice to thaw – and the truth is that it may never do so.”
Even royal biographer Christopher Andersen has earlier told Harper’s Bazaar “William has not forgiven his brother for airing the royal family’s dirty laundry in Spare.” But, if at all, the brothers do “have a similar meeting”, it will almost certainly be for appearances’ sake.” As per Andersen, it will be “to make it look as if the monarchy isn’t coming apart at the seams.”
