Donald Trump’s Attorney Deletes Post After Accidentally Praising Biden — Report

US Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing backlash on the internet for a recent social media post intended to highlight the merits of Donald Trump’s administration. Bondi recently appeared to try to praise Trump’s attempts to curb the substance abuse issue in the US by sharing some statistics on social media. However, the post drew criticism as the graph seemed to highlight former president Joe Biden’s efforts to do the same, apparently causing her to delete her post.

Pam Bondi deletes post after getting caught lying

Pam Bondi is currently under fire for inadvertently commending Joe Biden for tackling the drug problem in the US while trying to compliment Donald Trump.

The Florida-born politician recently took to her X (formerly Twitter) profile to share data regarding the deaths caused by drug overdose between October 2015 and October 2024.

With the help of the said graph, she tried to credit the Trump administration for “successfully” reducing the death toll through its reforms by stating, “Since day one, the Trump Administration and this Department of Justice have been fighting to end the drug epidemic in our country. President Trump closed the border. DOJ agents have seized hundreds of millions of potentially lethal fentanyl doses. We are aggressively prosecuting drug traffickers and cartel leaders. These are the results. Elections have consequences. Electing President Trump and enforcing the law is saving American lives.” (via The Daily Beast)

However, the graph shared by Bondi highlighted that drug-related deaths actually hit a decade-high between 2019 and 2021, during which Trump was serving his first term as president. The toll then plateaued for the 2022-2023 period before experiencing a sharp decline between 2024 and 2025, appearing to reflect the success of the Biden administration’s policies surrounding the issue.

Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu of California was quick to point out Bondi’s error and reposted her tweet on his X profile after the Attorney General decided to delete her post.
