Sarah revealed she was close the Queen not only through her marriage to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, but also her mom’s friendship with the late monarch.

She said: “My mom was her close friend, so she knew me all my life, and she loved me. The Queen was much more my mother than my mother was,” reports Radar Online. “I called her Mumma. She never let me down, even if I let her down. Even through the darkest days, she never left me.”

The pair reportedly remained close throughout the Queen’s later years. According to Fergie, that included going on hot girl walks together during the pandemic. She said: “I had many Covid jabs so I could walk the dogs with her. She had little brown walking shoes. Now I have the corgis. They’re phenomenal.”

The Queen died in 2022, but she apparently left Sarah with some heartfelt words before she passed. Fergie said the monarch told her: “Sarah, remember that yourself is good enough.” It would be the final time the pair spoke. “It makes me cry,” Fergie added.

The former duchess is reportedly struggling to come to terms with her recent fall from grace. Sources say she’s currently eyeing up a move abroad, but feels torn about leaving the UK.

She and ex-husband Andrew were stripped of their royal titles lat year and forced to leave the Royal Lodge estate.
