Another detail has come to light in the tragic death of Victoria Jones on New Year’s Day. The daughter of Hollywood star Tommy Lee Jones was found dead in a San Francisco hotel room of an apparent drug overdose.
The Academy Award winner was reportedly on the verge of becoming a grandfather. Court documents suggest Victoria may have been pregnant a matter of months before her life ended.
The actress had been dealing with drug and alcohol problems in the months leading up to her death.

News that Victoria was supposedly on the verge of giving birth is sure to compound what’s already a devastating situation for Tommy and his family. Court documents obtained by US Weekly, dated October 1, state that “counsel is informed and does believe that Ms. Jones is pregnant.”
Those documents filed in Santa Cruz County were related to the actress’s public intoxication arrest in 2025. She had been facing a charge of public intoxication and resisting a peace officer earlier this month. Documents say that she pleaded not guilty to those charges. Her legal team did indicate in documents the possibility of accepting diversion terms. The diversion program is a way to avoid conviction and get proper treatment for your issues.
Victoria’s apparent downward spiral may have been something her father saw coming. He filed for conservatorship of his only daughter in 2023. After originally getting his motion approved, a judge terminated Tommy’s conservatorship in December of that year.
Like her father, Victoria did some acting of her own, in movies like Men in Black II, which stars her father and Will Smith. There’s no word if Victoria was carrying a baby at the time of her death.
Victoria is one of two children Tommy had with his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, the oldest being Austin, born in 1982.
