A past report refutes Brooklyn Beckham’s assertion that his mom broke her promise to make his wife’s wedding dress. The couple contends Victoria Beckham cancelled the dress “at the eleventh hour.”
Nicola Peltz, who he says was to wear Victoria’s design at her April 2022 wedding, instead had to switch to a custom Valentino Haute Couture dress.

Instead, it was revealed that Nicola began wedding dress talks with former Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s team for at least a year. Nicola’s stylist at that time, Leslie Fremar, discussed choosing from sketches, fabrics and other elements as “the ultimate couture experience.”
According to PEOPLE, a family insider revealed that Victoria told Nicola she was going to make her wedding dress before she allegedly told Nicola’s mother she was backing out. “Nicola was painted as a brat for not wearing Victoria Beckham at the wedding,” the insider claimed.
However, Nicola visited the Valentino team twice in Rome and had two wedding dress fittings in the U.S. She also had a fitting with a mock-up of the dress before final changes were made. “The simplicity of it was magnificent,” Leslie said during that time. “We didn’t have to overly detail the dress to accomplish the magnitude of it, so we ended up eliminating the embroidery.”
Valentino’s head seamstresses also visited Nicola in Florida, where the couple got married, according to Vogue. The article was published April 10, 2022 and appears to challenge Brooklyn’s assertion that his mom refused to design the gown at the last minute.
Brooklyn’s Instagram Story posts on Monday, January 19 address the wedding rumors. He claims his parents tried ruining his relationship since before the wedding. Brooklyn wrote that Nicola was excited to wear Victoria’s wedding dress creation, but was forced to quickly find a replacement.
The eldest Beckham also accused his parents of trying to “bribe” him into “signing away the rights” to his name. He also said his mom hijacked his wedding dance with his wife and was inappropriate in the mother/son dance.
