Netflix Unveils Trailer for Baby Killer Nurse True Crime Documentary

Netflix just dropped its trailer for its latest true crime documentary, The Investigation of Lucy Letby. For three years, Lucy worked as a neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, England. Her time here came to an end after investigators realized that, between June 2015 and June 2016, several infant deaths occurred on her watch. Following her 2018 arrest and 2020 sentencing, Lucy is now serving out her time for the murder of seven babies.

Many people followed this horrific case and will likely tune into this documentary. As lovers of True Crime series know, new information is key. And as Netflix’s trailer promises, several fresh details are in this documentary.

The Investigation of Lucy Letby streams on Netflix in February

As the trailer begins, many detectives are crowded around Lucy’s front door. Then, set atop an all-black screen, the words, “The following footage has never been released publicly,” appear. We next see Lucy under her covers, inside her house. As the detectives quip, she’s getting arrested on “suspicion of murdering eight babies, and the attempted murder of six others.”

The frame shifts to show Lucy in an interrogation room. Meanwhile, different narrators speak over b-roll shots of her city, workplace, and various other locales, describing how Lucy “had a central role” in these deaths. Then there’s see footage of “concerning pieces of evidence” found in Lucy’s case.

One of these shocking finds was a note. Lucy allegedly penned this letter, which read, “I killed them on purpose.” In response, Lucy says, “No comment.”

This trailer continues, promising “never-before-seen footage” and “exclusive testimonials.” It also highlights the divide felt in her community following her conviction. This documentary debuts on Netflix on February 4.

The Investigation of Lucy Letby is available to stream on Netflix starting on February 4, 2026.
