When your friend group is in shambles, how do you get things back on track? You head down to Florida for a girls trip, according to the Married to Medicine cast.
Last week, Dr. Heavenly kicked off her political campaign before an all-out brawl nearly broke out at Angel’s event. Dr. Contessa knew she had to rally the troops for a getaway, so in Married to Medicine Season 12 Episode 8, “Girls Trip! Minus One,” the group headed down to Miramar Beach for a much-needed reset.
What happened in Married to Medicine Season 12 Episode 8?

Dr. Contessa kicked off the first cast trip of Season 12 by bringing the group down to Florida. She felt hopeful that they could reconnect after all of the chaos at Angel’s party. At first, it seemed like they were making some progress towards that goal, but Dr. Heavenly’s last-minute arrival threatened to throw off the balance. Keep on reading for all of the tea on the latest M2M episode.
Dr. Heavenly set some boundaries
Episode 8 picked up with everyone still reeling from Angel’s party. Heavenly was feeling particularly unsettled, and she vented to Dr. Damon. She told him that she no longer felt safe around Simone because of how things exploded between them.
She explained, “I thought Simone was inappropriate. I think she was physically aggressive, and I think it was wrong. I felt unsafe because the bitch is unhinged.”
Heavenly theorized that Simone is “miserable” in her life, and that’s the reason why their friendship has hit such a roadblock. Either way, it all made her feel undecided on whether or not she’d even go on the girls trip. After all, she’s a politician now, so she’s got to choose her battles wisely.
Brandi and Angel got treated like newbies

While Heavenly sat on the fence about whether or not she wanted to go to Florida, the rest of the group went ahead without her. They all hopped on a flight and headed down to the Sunshine State.
Moments into the trip. Brandi quickly realized that she and Angel are at the very bottom of the pecking order in this cast. First, they put Brandi in a middle seat on the plane ride down, and when they got ot the vacation house, Contesesa told her she’d need to share a room with Angel. Contessa said it was like a rite of passage for the newbies.
To make matters worse, this shared room only had one adult-sized bed, and the rest were tiny little bunk beds for children. Brandi said it would be great for her four kids, but obviously, not so much for her.
Of course, we’ve seen this scenario play out on Bravo a million times. New cast members always get hazed like this, but you could see it bothered Brandi. Before they could even get settled into their room, Angel accused her of having “bad energy.” Did she miss the memo that there’s no room for that on this girl’s trip?
Simone shared her side of the story
Although Brandi and Angel had a minor dustup over the “bad energy,” things went smoothly for the first night on the trip. The goal of bonding and togetherness seemed to be shining through. Contessa had a hibachi grill set up. The drinks were flowing, and they played a game of truth or dare. It’s the connection that this group desperately needed after weeks and weeks of screeching at each other.
With Heavenly out of the picture, Simone had free rein to tell her side of the story about what happened at the party. She insisted that she didn’t get physical with Heavenly and that her safety concerns were unfounded. Unfortunately for Heavenly, a bunch of the cast agreed. They felt like she was blowing things out of proportion.
Either way, Simone said she wanted to draw a line in the sand. After the latest drama with Heavenly, she said the rift in their friendship would be permanent. There’s no moving forward, supposedly.
“I am done with Heavenly,” Simone claimed. “It’s over. Finished. Stick a fork in it.’
Angel confronted Toya for breaking the girl code

The next day, the ladies splintered into two groups for some daytime activities. While some of the doctors swam with dolphins, Dr. Jackie, Toya, Quad, and Angel went to a beach club. Quad claimed it would be giving Saint-Tropez vibes. They arrived, and it seemed more like Holiday Inn vibes, but there’s nothing wrong with that.
Saint-Tropez or not, Angel used the time to finally confront Toya about their uncomfortable interaction at the family reunion. She felt like Toya broke the girl code in a major way when she told her date, Dr. Bernard, that she was in the process of hooking Angel up with someone else.
“That’s not what you do, undermine another man while he’s sitting there. It was very disrespectful,” Angel told Toya at the beach club.
Naturally, Toya was not receptive to the feedback. She claimed that she was in the process of setting Angel up with Dr. Eugene’s best friend, so she felt “blindsided” to see her talking with another guy at the family reunion. It’s a reach, but you know Toya wasn’t going to apologize. That’s not in her language.
Just as Angel and Toya’s conversation started getting juicy, another guest arrived at the hotel. Dr. Heavenly! She made it to Florida after all, just in time for things to get messy.
Hurricane Heavenly starts making landfall

Out of nowhere, Dr. Heavenly showed up in Florida after all. She waltzed into that hotel like a whirlwind, and obviously, Toya wasn’t thrilled.
Heavenly told the ladies she needed a “mental break” and wanted to spend some alone time with her husband for his birthday. The real tea came out during the confessional.
“Simone was saying a lot about me when I wasn’t there,” Heavenly said.
“Quad called me and said, ‘Listen bitch this is what’s going down,’” she admitted. “I came in to set the record straight.”
With Heavenly on board, the ladies made their way back to the house. Everyone’s eager to see how Simone would react, and Toya said that it felt like a storm was brewing. That storm is called Hurricane Heavenly.
“There is absolutely a sh*t storm approaching,” Toya warned.
Married to Medicine airs on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo. You can stream it the following day on Peacock.
