Nicola Peltz has been accused of being at the center of the current Brooklyn Beckham drama. And apparently, it’s not the first time the heiress has been blamed for family drama. According to an insider, she was “controlling” while dating Anwar Hadid, and “took advantage” of him.
Nicola Peltz would “flip out” on her ex, it’s alleged
Nicola started dating Anwar, brother of Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid, in 2017. She seemingly has a penchant for the younger guy – Anwar was 17 at the time, while she was 22. But according to one source, the relationship wasn’t exactly love’s young dream. The insider claimed Nicola was “controlling and took advantage of Anwar,” per the Daily Mail.
The source said the actress was demanding of Anwar’s time, which reportedly led to some bad feeling with the Hadids. Apparently, the family “still talk about her and how he’s better off without her.” The insider added: “She monopolized his time and wanted to be the first priority. If she wasn’t, she would flip.”
While some have accused Nicola of isolating Brooklyn from the rest of the Beckhams, he insists it’s Victoria Beckham and David Beckham who have pushed him away.
He wrote on Instagram: “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.”
Brooklyn made the explosive statement in his Instagram stories last week. The other Beckhams are yet to respond, although a source says they’re likely to say their side soon.
One person who has made their feelings known about Nicola is Anwar’s half-sister Alana. She reportedly replied to a comment on social media accusing Nicola of “trying to be famous for a decade.”
