It seems that Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship is being well and truly tested. Amid Blake’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni, private texts between her and Taylor were released … and the singer isn’t happy about it.
Taylor wants to stay away from the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama
Speaking to PEOPLE, an insider alleged that Taylor feels “impacted” by the release of private messages she sent to Blake.
“Taylor feels like her privacy was impacted,” the source said. “Anyone would be uncomfortable if their private texts were suddenly made public.”
In one of the texts that was released, Blake allegedly called Justin a “clown” and a “doofus.” In response, Taylor allegedly referred to Justin as a “bitch.”
“[Taylor] was just being a friend to Blake,” the insider said. They went on: “It’s turned into something bigger than she ever expected. She never thought private messages would become public.”
The source added that now Taylor is “just trying to stay away from the drama.” This echoes the claim of another insider who previously told PEOPLE that Blake and Taylor’s friendship had “halted” because of the court case.
Per the source, things between the pair have become “fractured” since the It Ends With Us co-stars’ legal battle began.
But Taylor is not the only celebrity to have been caught up in all this. Last week, Jameela Jamil defended herself over texts she sent to Justin’s PR. In the messages, she called Blake a “villain.”
“If you are fighting for women’s rights, but you don’t get along with every single woman, it doesn’t make you a bad feminist,” she argued on socials.
Other celebrities who have had their text messages released during the legal drama include Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
