Nicki Minaj Received Donald Trump’s Gold Card: ‘No. 1 Fan’

The rapper’s comments and social media posts drew attention as she referred to herself as Trump’s “No. 1 fan” and hinted at changes in her citizenship status.

On January 28, 2026, Nicki Minaj revealed she received a Trump Gold Card following her appearance at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C. She posted a photo of the card on X with the caption “Welp,” and later clarified, “Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President,” adding that the “Gold Trump card [was] free of charge.” Minaj also stated at the summit, “I’m probably the president’s No. 1 fan,” and said that criticism “does not affect me at all.”

According to the Trump Gold Card’s official description, it is a visa offered based on an individual’s “ability to provide a substantial benefit to the United States.” It requires a $15,000 DHS processing fee and a $1 million gift. If approved, recipients may obtain lawful permanent resident status under an EB-1 or EB-2 visa. Minaj’s post followed her appearance in a white coat and multicolored nails that matched the photo on the card.

Minaj previously wrote in 2018 that she “came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old,” but clarified in a now-deleted comment, “Residency? This isn’t for Residency. I’ve had that for decades.”

At the same summit, Trump said of Minaj, “I’m going to let my nails grow because I love those nails.” Minaj called him her “favorite president” and “the best president of all time” in a TikTok filmed after the event. She also pledged a contribution of between $150,000 and $300,000 to Trump Accounts, which provides $1,000 government seed investments to children born during the Trump administration.
