Jason Kelce is calling it on one of his programs. The former Philadelphia Eagles center aims to pursue other opportunities in his life, rather than the one given to him by ESPN last year.
Since retiring from the NFL in 2024, Travis Kelce’s brother has been a prominent figure in the media. He hosts the hugely successful New Heights podcast with his brother and serves as an analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown.
Jason Kelce’s ESPN show They Call It Late Night won’t return for Season 2

It’s one and done for Jason’s show, They Call it Late Night. That program, hosted by the seven-time Pro Bowler, debuted in January 2025 and aired a total of five episodes. That’s as far as the show will go with Awful Announcing confirming Jason is not seeking a second season.
Despite that news, ESPN reportedly still wants to work with the one-time Super Bowl champion. He will be on hand for the network’s NHL Stadium Series hockey game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins. He’ll be a special correspondent for that event on February 1. At the same time he’s still a part of the Monday Night Countdown team.
While he seems to have plenty of options to turn to, it is somewhat surprising to hear Jason isn’t interested in continuing with his late-night show. During a November 2024 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Jason shared how much he loved watching late-night television as a kid, having sleepovers while viewing Conan O’Brien.
The debut episode of his late-night program drew 290,000 viewers. It opened with the renowned pass blocker chugging a beer with former Eagles wide receiver Harold Carmichael.
In December, Jason shared how his brother might break a common wedding tradition when he and Taylor Swift tie the knot. The two became engaged last summer. Previously the husband of Kylie Kelce said that putting together a live show like his late-night one can be very demanding, much more than he even realized.
The final episode of his late-night show aired on February 1, 2025, one week before the Eagles won their second Super Bowl title.
