Sydney Sweeney on Why She Needs People to See Her in Lingerie

Sydney Sweeney has recently revealed the message she wants to convey through her intimate apparel line, Syrn. She views her designs and brand as a way to communicate with her audience while sending a powerful message to women about embracing freedom in their bodies. The Euphoria alum specifically wants everyone to see her in lingerie, knowing that she’s confident and that it represents her choice.

In a conversation with Cosmopolitan, Sydney Sweeney discussed Syrn, explaining that she wants to express herself through her body and brand. She said, “This can be how I communicate to my audience. I want to show women that we can take back our power and fully free ourselves.” The actress specifically wants people to see her in lingerie and understand the message she intends to give via her brand: “I want SYRN to stand for the power of choice.”

On January 28, the intimate apparel brand officially launched, drawing widespread attention online. Sweeney shared a series of pictures on Instagram, announcing her new brand. She wrote in the caption, “the secret is finally out… say hello to @syrn  this is lingerie you wear for YOU, no explanation, no apology. SYRN is coming for you on 1.28 sign up now for early access at SYRN.com there’s soo much more. I can’t wait to show you.”

In another conversation with Elle, Sweeney revealed that she wanted to create a brand that understands women and gives them confidence without lecturing them. “I wanted to create a world and a feeling. I wanted to build a lingerie brand that feels like it understands women instead of talking at them,” she said. 

“Syrn is about confidence without pressure, feeling sexy, powerful, soft, playful, or all of the above, depending on the day. As the sole founder, my vision was to create something that lives in real life and doesn’t hold anyone back.”
