NFL Quarterback Reacts After Being Named in Epstein Files

An NFL quarterback is seeking to clear his name. Russell Wilson was among those recently named in documents as more of the Jeffrey Epstein files are being uncovered. A Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, Russell’s name came up numerous times in a series of e-mails on Friday.

The release of millions of documents about the late financier’s sex trafficking were to come out in December. However, there have been delays in that matter, with periodic releases now coming out beyond the original deadline set by Donald Trump. Russell is explaining how his name is implicated in Jeffrey’s case.

Russell Wilson explained he was talking to a “random” plane broker

Russell’s ties to Jeffrey may be just a coincidence.  That’s how the former Walter Payton Man of the Year is explaining the situation. On his X account on Sunday, he refuted any notion that he had any association with the pedophile. “Some Random plane broker tried to sell me a plane. I had no idea whose plane and never bought the plane. Never talked nor Never met the man,” said Russell. Among the things uncovered in December in the files was adult toys and a condom of the current President.

According to the documents, Jeffrey had contacted Russell’s personal pilot, Larry Visokski, about the NFL star potentially buying his Gulfstream G-IV private jet. On January 27, 2019, Larry sent an e-mail to Jeffrey saying Russell was calling “non-stop” after viewing the plane. The e-mail adds that the quarterback was interested in purchasing the aircraft. However, he was worried it might affect contract negotiations. At the time, he was working to get an extension with the Seahawks.

According to e-mails, Russell had taken numerous photos and videos during a test flight. Another message suggested that he put down a $500,000 deposit on the plane, with 90 days to close at the $2.7 million asking price.

Russell’s publicist said he never wound up purchasing the plane. They add that he also wasn’t aware that any aircraft discussed had ties to Jeffrey. Russell wound up buying a 2000 Gulf Stream-IV registered to the Seattle-based company West2East 330 LLC in 2020.
