Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi Fuel ‘Toxic Situation’ for Her Husband — Source

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are currently selling their new romantic film “Wuthering Heights” hard and one insider claims it’s bothering Robbie’s producer husband, Tom Ackerley, stating, “It’s got to be humiliating for him.” A new report claims Robbie’s husband is “in denial” about Elordi’s bond with Robbie.

However, the same report frames the attention that the two stars have been generating for their new film as useful for ticket sales. Still, sources have reportedly alleged that they think the Robbie and Elordi hype is crossing a line right now.

According to Star Magazine’s February 3, 2026, story, the “Wuthering Heights” press run has raised eyebrows backstage. The piece says the “Barbie” star gave Jacob Elordi matching signet rings with a Brontë line. The ring was inscribed, “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” She also praised him as a “gentleman” after he blocked rain mid-scene. Robbie told Access Hollywood, “That was one of the most romantic things I’ve ever experienced and seen.”

Meanwhile, a source said, “The way Margot has been carrying on with Jacob has everyone wondering.” The insider added, “The poor guy has to just stand back and watch.” They also claimed, “It’s got to be humiliating for him,” as cameras track the pair. However, the report says Ackerley “insists he’s fine with it all” and calls it business. Still, friends allegedly warned he could be facing a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

At the same time, the source said the situation puts him in a “very awkward spot.” Ackerley is also her producing partner, so the optics of Robbie’s relationship with Elordi are important to their business. They noted, “From a business perspective, this is actually a good thing.” Even so, the source called it a “toxic situation” and urged him to read the room. The film opens on February 13.
