Channing Tatum just revealed he’s undergone major surgery for a separated shoulder.
“Just another day. Another challenge,” the 45-year-old said on Instagram alongside a photo from his hospital bed. “This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in.”

As well as posting a photo of himself in the hospital on his Instagram feed, Channing also shared two X-ray images on his Story.
“Separated shoulder,” the actor captioned the first Instagram Story X-ray image. “Screwed shoulder, yay,” he wrote in the next, which showed a visible screw in his shoulder.
Channing didn’t reveal the reason he had to have shoulder surgery – or what caused the injury in the first place – but the movie star is well-known for doing his own stunts.
Last year, he told Variety about an injury he sustained while filming Avengers: Doomsday, which is due for release later this year. The interviewer noted that Channing turned up with a limp, and revealed his stunt double had to take on the heavier work for the rest of filming. Meanwhile, Channing was scheduled to undergo intensive physical therapy for the leg injury.
“We had tons more shooting,” he said, explaining that a “big fight” scene was yet to be filmed when he had to pull out of his stunts due to the leg injury.
“It’s not about the pain I feel in the moment,” the Magic Mike star added. “It’s knowing I can’t take this back. And now I know what the next six months of my life will be like … I just hate getting old. In my mind, I’m literally still 30 years old. [Or] 26, if I’m honest.”
In the comment section of his Instagram post, there were plenty of well-wishes from friends and fans alike. “Love you, king, you got this,” one person said.
