Another missing person with ties to a celebrity is making the news. Lil Jon’s son has reportedly disappeared in Georgia. The Milton Police Department issued an alert on Tuesday in hopes of tracking down the 28-year-old sooner rather than later.
DJ Young Slade, whose real name is Nathan Murray Smith, is the rapper and record producer’s first child. He’s the second person in the last few days with celebrity links to go missing. Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, went missing in Arizona on Sunday.

Police in Georgia are frantic to find Lil Jon’s child before it’s too late. He reportedly ran out of his home on foot and has not been seen since. Locating him may be difficult, as he reportedly doesn’t have a phone. It’s believed that he could also be disoriented.
According to Rough Draft Atlanta, an “active police matter” is unfolding in Mayfield Park in Milton. That is approximately 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Lil Jon’s son has been DJing since the age of 11. His father has said that seeing him in that industry is one of his greatest joys. That’s a bold statement given that the rapper and father of two won a 2005 Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for the song Yeah alongside Ludacris and Usher.
Last July, Lil Jon was said to have an estimated net worth of $35 million. Lil Jon’s son has often credited his dad with instilling in him a strong work ethic to succeed in the entertainment industry. The Salt Shaker singer said in a 2024 interview that it was cool to see his son trying to follow in his footsteps.
Authorities have said there’s no threat to the public in this matter. They’re asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them.
