Prince William Jokes His Kids Sometimes Give ‘Too Much’ Details

Prince William is offering a rare and refreshingly relatable glimpse into life at home with his three children. During a special appearance on BBC Radio 1’s “Life Hacks,” the Prince of Wales spoke about the importance of open conversations, but it was his candid parenting confession that stole the spotlight. When asked whether his children talk openly about their feelings, William couldn’t help but laugh.

Prince William jokes his and Kate Middleton’s kids ‘sometimes’ share ‘too much’ details

Speaking alongside host Greg James, Prince William shared that communication is alive and well in the Waleses’ household. “Sometimes too much. I get all the details, which I love, it’s amazing,” he said of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The comment aligns with what William and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, have previously said about raising their children in a warm and emotionally open environment. According to PEOPLE, during a candid interview on Apple TV+’s “The Reluctant Traveler” with Eugene Levy, the father of three explained that despite royal duties, they work hard to keep life “relatively normal.”

“I do try and stick to school timetables as best as possible. So, most days we’re in and out of school doing pick-ups and drop-offs,” he shared, noting that balancing work and family is “really important.” He added, “For me, the most important thing in my life is family.”

William has often credited his late mother, Princess Diana, for shaping his parenting values. “You have to have that warmth, that feeling of safety, security, love,” he said. “Yes, definitely,” he added when asked if Diana inspired his desire to create a stable home.

At home, the royal children stay busy and grounded. “Louis loves the trampoline, he’s obsessed with trampolining,” William revealed with a smile. “Charlotte does her netball as well and her ballet… George loves his football and his hockey.” He also joked that while they are learning musical instruments, he’s “not sure how successful we’re being with that.”

From oversharing stories to trampoline competitions, William’s comments paint a picture of a lively, loving household, one where open conversations are not just encouraged, but enthusiastically delivered.
