Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, have reportedly been warned to comply with the court’s dress code during the trial. Currently, West is involved in a lawsuit filed by a former employee, who alleges labor violations during his time working on renovations at the rapper’s Malibu beach house. As the controversial couple enters the 12-day trial, the court has issued strict warnings that everyone must refrain from wearing sunglasses or hats to avoid any drama during the legal proceedings.
Kanye West and Bianca Censori receive warning from judge, reports claim
According to a report, Judge Brock T. Hammond has issued a stern warning to West and Censori to comply with the court’s dress code. He cautioned that anyone who fails to follow the basic rules of legal proceedings will be removed from the trial. Hammond also specifically stated that no one is allowed to wear sunglasses or hats to legal proceedings. Moreover, he added that he aims to keep the legal proceedings drama-free.
The lawsuit at issue was filed in September 2023 by West’s former employee, Tony Saxon. According to PEOPLE, he was initially hired in 2021 as a project manager for the rapper’s multi-million-dollar house. However, he was also given additional duties of caretaking and full-time security, for which he was reportedly paid $20,000 a week. In the lawsuit, Saxon alleged that West failed to make one of the required payments and forced him to sleep in “makeshift conditions.”
Earlier in a conversation with Vanity Fair, Censori addressed the criticism she usually receives for sporting nude and daring looks. She said, “I had a quite obvious obsession with nudity. I was naked everywhere. I didn’t detach from it at any point. I consistently showed the same imagery over and over and over again. I live my artwork.”
She also clarified that being nude is her choice, and it’s not something forced upon her by her husband. “Me and my husband would work on my outfits together. So it was like a collaboration; it was never, ‘I was being told to do something.’ … If you were married to Giannia Versace, wouldn’t he give you a dress or something?” she added.
