Keke Palmer got quite the shock at a recent panel discussion. The actress received a marriage proposal from a fan while on stage at the SXSW event. That caught the Hustlers actress and many on hand completely off guard.
Afterwards, Keke admitted that “I thought it was a joke at first.” When it appeared to be a legitimate proposal, Keke said it made her feel a little uncomfortable. The person who asked for Keke’s hand in marriage has been arrested.

Following the marriage proposal, the Nope actress told Access Hollywood that she was “trying to be delicate with the situation.” While she didn’t want to hurt the fan, Keke wanted to clearly explain to them that a marriage wasn’t going to happen.
The out-of-the-blue proposal took place in Austin, Texas, on March 13, the day after the world premiere of Keke’s film I Love Boosters. Her castmates Demi Moore, Naomi Ackie, and Taylour Paige awkwardly laughed when the man got down on one knee. The man who did it had his credentials revoked before being escorted out of the facility.
Keke currently has one child. Last month she shared her son is going through the terrible twos. In October 2023, she separated from the father of her child, Darius Jackson. She gave birth to their son in February of that year.
The person who allegedly made the proposal to Keke has been identified as Kendall Demouchet. He was arrested for criminal trespass and taken to Travis County Jail without incident. I Love Boosters is set to launch across the United States in May.
