Prince William is understood to have had a role in the removal of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s royal titles. But a new claim suggests that it didn’t stop the Prince of Wales from reaching out to “offer condolences” to his disgraced uncle.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor “was very touched”

Following his numerous inclusions in the Jeffrey Epstein files, Andrew was last year stripped of his remaining royal titles. Despite his persistent denials of any wrongdoing, the disgraced former prince was also evicted from Royal Lodge. And he was later arrested (and released) on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
Although it was King Charles who ultimately made the call to remove his brother’s titles, plenty of reports have made clear that William also had a hand in it all. Perhaps that’s unsurprising, considering he’s already spoken about his plans to “shake up” the monarchy when he takes the throne.
That said, a new biography has claimed William reached out to Andrew in the fallout of his titles being taken away. Author Robert Hardman said in his new novel, Elizabeth II: In Private. In Public. The Inside Story, that William was one of only a “few people” to reach out to Andrew. The move, according to Robert, “touched” the former Duke of York.
In public, however, William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have taken a firmer approach to Andrew. Shortly after the release of yet more Epstein files, a spokesperson for the Waleses said in February that they were “deeply concerned by the continuing revelations.”
“Their thoughts remain focused on the victims,” the spokesperson added.
As for why William is taking such a hard stance? “[He’s] seen firsthand how quickly scandals can spiral and dominate the narrative around the monarchy,” a source recently told OK!.
