Emily Blunt’s Lacy Dior Micro Minidress Couldn’t Possibly Be More Sheer

If there’s one thing Emily Blunt understands, it’s how to take a classic idea and push it just far enough to make it feel unexpected and supremely fashionable. In fact, her latest red carpet look did exactly that. After all, it helped her step into the sheer territory without actually losing that signature elegance that she’s known for.

Dressed in Dior Haute Couture, Blunt opted for a fierce black lace micro minidress that played with transparency and texture in equal measure. It’s quite safe to say that the mesmerizing ensemble was all things sassy and spectacular.

For the star-studded “The Devil Wears Prada 2” premiere, Emily Blunt managed to go above and beyond, turning heads in a black lace micro minidress from none other than Dior. The statement-worthy piece had a spectacular bodice with a rather elegant and high neckline. It also had long, sheer sleeves that felt almost Victorian at first glance. At the end of the day, Blunt’s gasp-worthy look was sincerely delicate, intricate, and restrained.

But then, the silhouette simply shifted. The stylish piece further had a skirt, which flared out into a sculpted, tutu-like shape. This ended up bringing a touch of playful sharpness that contrasted beautifully with the softness of the lace. Finally, Blunt completed the look with sheer black tights and the classiest platform heels. Finally, the look landed somewhere between romantic and quietly rebellious, which was genuinely quite admirable.

Furthermore, what really elevated the look is the balance. The boldness of the slit was offset by the clean neckline and asymmetrical strap, while the rich satin finish added some softness to an otherwise architectural piece. Styled with sleek, side-swept waves and a flawless makeup look, she kept the focus exactly where it belonged, which was on the dress and the attitude it carried. It was confident, a little daring, and completely self-assured.
