Prince William And Kate Middleton Voice ‘Concern’ After London Stabbing Attack

The future King and Queen are speaking out about a terrorist incident in north London. A Kensington Palace spokesperson says that Prince William and Kate Middleton are “concerned” regarding a string of recent attacks on the Jewish community.

Wednesday’s stabbing took place in the Golders Green neighborhood, considered a popular area for the Jewish community. This marks the third attack against that community in recent weeks. King Charles also condemned Wednesday’s incident. He is currently in the United States on an official royal visit.

There is a lot of fear among Jewish people in the UK capital nowadays. It is understandable as the Jewish community seems to be targeted in recent times. In addition to the Wednesday incident, police responded to an attack on March 23, where four volunteer ambulances were targeted in an arson attack. The ambulances are run by a Jewish charity group called Hatzola. Meanwhile, another attack on the Israeli embassy led to the partial closure of Kensington Palace.

These attacks have not gone unnoticed by the royal family. In a statement to Hello! a Palace spokesperson said, “The Prince and Princess of Wales are following the situation closely,” referring to Wednesday’s incident. The statement echoed the King’s sentiments, expressing prayers for those impacted.

Prince William has made headlines before over alleged violence, albeit far less extreme than the recent incidents in the UK. In his book Spare, Prince Harry alleges his brother physically assaulted him before. However, an insider in February said that this claim was “massively overblown.”

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley says that Wednesday’s incident was declared a terrorist attack. The suspect in that matter was tasered after trying to stab a police officer. Two people were taken to the hospital as a result and are reportedly in stable condition.
